Where do the results come from ?
Searchmaze' own result screen is very much like a Meta Search Engine, such as Dogpile or Metacrawler. We take the best results from mutiple sources
(like Yahoo, Google or Altavista), combine them and rank them according to our own
Searchmaze USRM © Ranking system.
Unlike most Meta Search Engines, Searchmaze does not only query other search engines, but
also references the Searchmaze Infophere to identify super relevant results or to quickly
lead you to more relevant search results.
Our mission is to get best quality results on your screen in the least possible time.
Having said that, we realise we're not there yet and the search engine will be under heavy development
until further notice.
Can I use advanced search operators ?
Searchmaze supports most BOOLEAN operators like:
+, -, | , AND, OR etc.
What other tricks are there ?
Searchmaze is full of cool little tricks to let you navigate the web faster and more efficiently.
Check out the commands section to see how you can send queries directly
to sites like cnn, google or download.com, to name a few.
I don't want Searchmaze as my default search engine, how do I change it ?
Go to the Settings page from your Infosphere Start Page, choose a different "Default search engine" and Save your settings.
Next time you type a keyword in the toolbar search box or the search box on your start page, you will be taken directly to your search engine of choice.
