Searchmaze is the result of one question: How can I make my time using the web more efficient , i.e spend more time reading information in stead of looking for it.

Since 1995 the available information on the web has ballooned to billions of documents and although search engines have evolved somewhat, we are now faced with total information overflow.

To try to improve the situation, we started by looking at what cost us the most time to begin with.

Time consuming tasks:

Searching for new information, i.e on a search engine Relocating lost information, i.e. looking for sites you've seen before but lost the address. Navigating known websites, i.e. clicking around and searching on frequently used sites. Consuming/filtering news (newsletters, forums, email) Accessing known websites, i.e. typing url's Navigating new websites, i.e. finding what you want on a webpage Organising known websites, i.e. managing favorites/bookmarks

Searchmaze is dedicated to building services and applications that address these issues. Our current software:

Cuts down time spent on news consumption by providing RSS feed reader functionality Cuts down time spent navigating to frequently used website by providing start page links and short-cut urls.

But this is just the start, we are working on software that will take your search experience to the next level by providing a search engine with super-relevant results, that orders sites according to a revolutionary new ranking algorythm we call URSR (Usage Rated Search Results).
